Description

This bayonet has no manufacturer’s mark, though it can sometimes be found with “star and anchor” – which is also not well defined maker. The bayonet is crudely made, the tip abused. It comes with ruberized one piece scabbard and frog, probably for naval use. The blade has no fullers and is blued. Crude manufacture resembles training bayonets, though it is rather bayonet for Navy or shore Navy personnel, maybe for use with Navy’s Special Type 99 rifle manaufactured in Yokosuka arsenal.
